This unit has been one of the more complex and yet interesting experiences in this course. Despite some difficulties, the content was still engaging and fun to learn. Some topics that were at a higher difficulty were primarily about modifying the exponential functions and determining the differences in their graphs. Some topics that were relatively easy was understanding the explicit and recursive formulas such as how to create them for a sequence.
The standards that I currently have the best grasp is about creating and understanding explicitly and recursive formulas. This is because the concept behind this topic is very simple and easily understood.
Some advice for students that will learn linear and exponential functions is to try playing around and modifying the different terms in an exponential function to ultimately change the graph with a graphing calculator. This will allow you to firsthand see the changes created by modifying a term.
Solving the practice problems after each topic was especially beneficial to me because it allowed me to see where I was not strong in and review the content again.
Unit 3 is a very interesting unit with many engaging problems and tasks.
